First of the many firsts

As everyone knows, I eat a lot. Okay, actually lots of people don't know. But yes, I eat A LOT! I will be starting afresh here with a new post... a post about eating.

I once had an 'all-you-can-eat' day. From desserts, to mains and then to desserts again. I don't complain. First up: Dessert - a pie. Strawberry Lemon Pie at Windowsill Pies located at Lavender. I like their interior design but I was too engrossed in their pies to take any pictures. They do serve mains but it changes once in a fortnight. So I'm guessing pies are their signatures. They serve 8 flavours and for the two times I've been there, I've only ordered Strawberry Lemon.

One bite into the pie and it gives me a really refreshing feel. It was love at first bite and second and third and so on... But the second time I went there, it was okay. I didn't love it as much anymore.

After this dish, we're weren't quite satisfied, so we left and headed out to our next destination: Chye Seng Huat Hardware. It was conveniently located at Lavender, 3mins walk away from Windowsill Pies. Judging from the name, many people will think, "That's a cafe?! It's a hardware store!" Well, no. It's serves food and the kitchen closes at 5pm and the place closes at 7pm so if you want to grab a meal, be sure to go before 5!

Ordered some pasta, I can't remember the name. Didn't order any coffee as it wasn't really to my liking. Overall, it's not bad. Great food.

For dinner, we went to Symmetry located at Bugis. First step into the cafe and I'm liking it. I like the interiors and the music they play, indie. Another favorite - indie cafes. Also, they serve a bowl of chilled grapes! Loving it again!

Ordered ice cream as there wasn't much selection for dinner. Actually, there wasn't much anything. The choices were quite little. We went along with an introduction from the waitress. I can't remember the name of the ice cream but, it's not really to my liking. There's a weird taste to it.

To conclude, I don't think I will visit any of these cafes mentioned anymore. Reasons:

Windowsill Pies: Serve only pies, although they change their mains every fortnight. I don't really want to make a trip down to find that I don't like the mains they are serving that day.

Chye Seng Huat Hardware: Have to make it before 5pm, which is difficult for me to visit on weekdays. Never crossed my mind to travel on weekends too, because most of my where to eat headaches are for dinner.

Symmetry: A tad too expensive, and little choices. Plus point for the indie music.
